notice how clear the photo is, this allows me to accurately draw her distiguishing characteristics...

Q: Can you draw a portrait in color? A: Yes, I do use pastels. In the future I am planning on adding this to my price list, but for now you will have to contact me regarding my pastel portrait prices. Please note that pastel portraits are offered in the same sizes as the charcoal portraits with the exception of the 5x7. Pastel portrait prices start at $200. Q: Can you paint portraits? A: Yes, I use quality heavy body acrylic paints (which look very similar to oil) on canvas. I am very limited on the number of these portraits that I accept, and offer a waiting list. Prices start at $600.
Q: I have a photo of my child with his mouth frowning, can you draw/paint him smiling instead?
A: No, I can not accuratly draw or paint someones facial expression that I can not see. I am limited by the photo that is supplied to me. When selecting your photo just ask yourself: "Do I really love the way he/she looks in this photo"? I can however, trim up the face, fix teeth, take away wrinkles, etc...
Q:Can you merge different photos of different people to create a group portrait?
A: Yes, I will need a good clear photo of each person.
Q: Can you draw/paint pets or animals?
A: Yes!
Q: Can you draw/paint portraits of hunters?
A: Yes, once again the photo must be clear. Sometimes these photos are taken in the woods right after the hunt, which often tend to be overshadowed or extremely heavy flash. If you plan ahead, you can obtain better photos by taking multiple photos from various angles of the animal and hunter.
Q: My son plays baseball and I have an awsome action photo of him hitting the ball, can you draw/paint this?
A:Yes, I enjoy doing portraits with movement!
Q: My grandmother has a very old picture from her wedding day, can you use this to draw/paint a portrait?
A: Most of the time, as long as the picture is clear and I can see the faces very well, even photos that are slightly faded or torn can be used.
Q: Do you return my photo?
A: Yes
Q: I like my daughter's smile in this photo, hair in this photo and eyes in this photo, can you merge them all together for my portait?
A: Probably not. The best idea is to just go outside and take about 20-30 photos of your child, then pick out 1 or 2 favorites.
Q: Can you meet with me?
A: Yes, I schedule appointments during the week. Please feel free to call me, (318)372-5561.
